Looking at the "moments" in life

It has been said that life is made up of tiny moments.  That’s a profound statement; you see, when we remember, we think of moments in time, suspended in days and months and years.  The moments might be happy, sad, ordinary, or fleeting; of great significance or of little interest to anyone but you.

Write about your happiest moment in the last three or four weeks.  What made it your happiest moment?  Who was involved?  What kind of day was it?  Was there anything spiritual about that moment?  Take time to ponder what you have written.

Another day write about your saddest or most anxious moment in the last three or four weeks.  What made it your saddest/most anxious moment?  Who was involved?  What kind of day was it?  Was there anything spiritual about that moment?  Take time to ponder what you have written.

Listen to the truth in these quotations:
“There can be no happiness if the things we believe in are different from the things we do.”  Freya Stark

“In a society that judges self-worth on productivity, it’s no wonder we fall prey to the misconception that the more we do, the more we’re worth.”  Ellen Sue Stern

Spend some time journaling about where you find yourself in your spiritual journey.  What do you need in order to “jump-start” your spirituality?

God Bless your time of thoughtfulness.

Joy,
Mary Ann
